Scintam Engineering develop innovative products incorporating electrical discharge machining (EDM) technology. The FastEDR product line is a hand-held EDM platform for removing seized or difficult to access fasteners. Designed to replace risky mechanical cutting methods such as drilling and grinding, FastEDR provides customers with a fast and safe method of removing seized fasteners with a near-zero risk of damage to surrounding components. FastEDR allows accurate cutting of any metallic alloy including stainless steels and nickel superalloys, with cutting speeds of ~10mm/min (0.4"/min) irrespective of alloy hardness. Scintam provides a wide range of tooling options for removing industry standard and proprietary fastener types.
