After his double degree in MSc International Management/CEMS MiM at the Rotterdam School of Management and the Stockholm School of Economics, Derk joined KLM as a Corporate Management Trainee.
In the course of several years, he has held various consulting and leadership positions within the passenger, cargo and MRO activities of Air France-KLM Group.
Most recently, he was in charge of capability development and operation support within the Component Services business unit of AFI KLM E&M. Derk Nieuwenhuijze was appointed E&M Head of Digital, Marketing & Communications in September 2020.
