Shangari B. Meleschi is Vice President, Aftermarket Operations North America Repair & Transformation, at Pratt & Whitney, a world leader in the design, manufacture and service of aircraft engines and auxiliary power units. He was appointed to this role in May 2021.
Meleschi is responsible for leading the company's network of 5 large commercial engines maintenance, repair, and overhaul facilities located across North America. He is responsible for all of the strategic and operational aspects of Aftermarket Operations for this region servicing PW, IAE, CFMI, Engine Alliance, in addition to various Military product lines including the F135. His organization is currently executing worldwide capacity expansion for PW’s new Geared Turbofan (GTF) engine product line. This expansion includes the innovative network approach with a team of partners, joint ventures, 3rd party service providers along with PW owned service centers from across the globe.
Additionally, since May of 2021 his role has expanded to encompass responsibility for Aftermarket Operations market growth and transformation globally, which includes the technological evolution of all worldwide facilities.
He started his career at GE Aviation, and held positions across engineering, advanced technology, and operations & supply chain before joining Pratt & Whitney in 2015. Since that time he has held numerous positions of increasing responsibility, including his most recent prior assignment as Senior Director, Global Transitions & NPI, where he was responsible for leading all transfer of work activities in addition to all development material procurement activities across Pratt & Whitney's global supply chain to deliver on product cost, capacity, and advanced program KPIs.
