Maintenance Automation through Digitization – The Perspective of the OEM and the MRO Session hosted by IFS

  • Wednesday, October 20, 2021:1:30 PM - 2:15 PM
  • Room: Amtrium 1&2

Description

Operating and maintaining aviation assets occurs in an ecosystem comprising manufacturers, airlines, MROs and their supply chains.  These various organizations have different requirements and priorities for digitizing and automating their maintenance-related activities.  An airline with in-house MRO will benefit by using Information Technology (IT) solutions to automate configuration management, compliance tracking, maintenance planning and maintenance work execution.  For an OEM that provides equipment under an aftermarket services arrangement, the ability to use a “digital thread” to automate the bidirectional flow of data with the operator is critical: timely and accurate field data feeds the OEM’s “digital twin” models and analytics capabilities, and updated maintenance requirements and intervals are fed back to the operator driving increased uptime and availability. Attend this session to get an OEM and airline/MRO perspective on the digital automation journey.
