Marcel Schmedes joined Diehl Aerospace in 2012 after studying in Diehls "Center of Excellence for Graphics Generation" for four years. With 20+ years of experience in various technology sectors, ranging from system design to low level topics like analogue circuit design or detailed cybersecurity, Marcel has pushed the digital transformation in the aircraft cabin segment.
Under Marcel's technical leadership, Diehls cabin research activities delivered the fundamental solutions that help customers to bring the digital world to the aircraft cabin and resulted in the CANSAS cabin management system and open software platform.
Marcel graduated from the University of Applied Science in Darmstadt, Germany, focusing his academic studies on the areas electrical engineering, communication technology, combined hard- and software design. He resides near Frankfurt am Main, Hessen, Germany.
